Bitter/Sweet

I wanted to share one of the first few pictures I took with my new camera. This is my Son, Daughter, and their Great Grandmother on Christmas Day.............she passed on Tuesday.  I am honored to have had such a woman in my life.

May your next life be as grand as this one.......Elder of our tribe.

  4. Wait. That's their Great Grandmother?

I hope I look that good if I survive long enough to be just a Grandfather. ._.

  5. Thank you so much everyone. She was a wonderful woman and I will celebrate her life by taking care of the treasures I got from her house.

Dwei- Yup my son is 20 and my daughter is 17. I would always remind her of how lucky she was to live long enough to see her GREAT grandchildren become adults.

  6. Becoming the Elder of the Tribe is indeed a Privilege not afforded to many. Now that we're Great-Grandparents I feel Honored to have lived long enough to be bestowed that Title. I'm so sorry for your Loss, your Grandmother's Spirit and Joy radiates from that Image. Taking care of the Treasures you got from her house is indeed a great way to Honor her. I am the Keeper of the Past in our extended Family and I Hope that at least one of the Grands or Great Grands becomes one I can pass that Mantle to one day?
