Please Join Me

I would love to share some nostalgia with you. Things that make me go "WOW I REMEMBER THAT!". Also some things I am collecting because I love it.

I drank out of these glasses for as long as I can remember! I actually went and bought some much to my mothers dismay because she had ours packed up in the garage. Oops 

I called these Ravioli bowls because....well you guessed it.......I ate ravioli out of them. Yes, bought some of these still uses ours.

One of my first Halloween costumes! I had lots of Holly Hobbie items and have started a new collection. As a matter of fact, I still have a TV tray (minus the legs) I used when I was little. (my mother NEVER throws anything away)

I loved this doll! I think mom actually got rid of her.

I got a little older and mom bought me this book....and I in turn bought it for my daughter and I have saved it for my grand daughter

I then hit my teens and ............

Started wearing jelly shoes

and leg warmers

and denim jean jackets

and Members Only jackets (mine was navy blue)

and parachute pants

and used a Poloriod camera

My senior year in high school I drove my parents hamby down car (that I miss dearly)

and figured I would be a trend setter and use a TMNT back pack

Believe it or not........I went back the next year and ALL the seniors had one! Guess I was cool after all.

I am going to sign me and my step-daughter up for a 15k. No I have never run one (only a 5k) and it is on a mountiain trail. The date of the event is November 5th.  I think I can do this. I am going to do this! Green Goddess on a cracker am I really going to do this!?!

I missed blogging over the past few days so Ill try to remember everything that I did.

Got up early Thursday morning drank me some NO Explode and grabbed my gear for my walk/jog/run. :) Yes that is pepper foam you see. I refuse to run with out it.

My time........yeah, needs work. The bright side, I got up and got out!

I didn't get to do my Ashtanga Yoga and to be honest I cant remember why.  But I did go to the store to pick up some things for supper and boy did I score! Check this out!

Oh yeah! Good Good Good!

Friday morning I got up and did my OM Yoga and Meditation. It is a great way to start off the day! (for me)


Then we went to our friends house for supper, drinks, and a movie. We had so much fun but I did NOT feel good Saturday morning. I headed to my eldest daughters house to watch my sweet sweet Grandchildren. They call me Yia Yia. (Greek)  I always let my 3 year old granddaughter take her very own pictures. Here are some of them.

Sunday and Monday I only did the essentials due to female problems! I wont get into details unless someone asks. Now, I am trying to square away my daily goal list from earlier today.  I think I will start ending my posts with a random hippy quote..........let me know what you think.

Tuesdays Goals

1. Commit one random act of kindness-Guess Ill have to commit two tomorrow!
2. Make one person laugh-Done
3. Get back on my workout schedule-first thing in the
4. Clean bathrooms-After I finish computer time
5. Do a "recap" post of the past few days (to include lots of pics)-Done
6. Visit every one's blog-Done
7. Eat healthy ALL day and listen to my body-Messed up a little but not bad
8. Meditate-Done
9. Go to bed early-WILL BE DONE!

Looks like a lot but its really not. I hope everyone is having a wonderful smooth day!

Yoga, Meditation, Weights, and SUSHI!

Oh what a wonderful day! I am so very proud of myself. I woke up bright and early and did my Om Yoga and Meditation DVD before work.  Here is my meditation chair. 

Work went SMOOOOOTH! The day ended before I knew it! Then it was home to hit the weights! (remember my schedule?) 

It went something like:
Squats: Barbell 55 lbs. 8/8/10
Incline DB Press: 20 lbs. each 8/8/8
Standing Calf Raises : Barbell 55 lbs. 20/20/20
Stiff Leg Dead Lifts: 55 lbs. 10/10/10
Seated Shoulder Press: DB 10 lbs. 10/10/10
Lat Pull Down: 100 lbs. 10/10/10 (instead of pull ups and I should have gone heavier) 

Eats went a little something like this:

Breakfast- 1 egg, 2 egg whites, and 2% sharp cheddar
Snack- Multigrain chips and hummus
Lunch- (see pic)
That is broiled salmon, green beans, and brown rice with a little low sodium soy sauce.
Afternoon snack-White bean and ham chili (small cup)
Supper and PWO meal- Beef tataki and a carafe of sake (I know I know I could have gone with out the sake   but it was good darnit!)

Endurance Workout

I have to admit, even though I am pretty active I am VERY out of shape. So I decided (again) to design myself a plan that would get me moving everyday with a rest day on Sunday. 

To show you how out of shape I am I ended up doing:

Split Jumps 42/41
Bent Knee Push ups 10/10
Mountain Climbers 16/18
Burpees 1!
Single Leg Glute Raise 25/20 (each leg)
Swiss Ball Jack knife 16/15
Swiss Ball Crunches 20//20
Jumping Jacks 30/40

I wanted to do 3 rounds but it didn't happen. Am I disappointed? A little but today is day one right? Now its time to start tightening up the diet......after all, diet is key right? :)
